Qualities of a Catholic Mentor (Spiritual Guide)

  • Deep faith and a life of prayer

    Lives their faith with conviction and maintains a consistent life of prayer, sacraments, and Scripture reading.

  • Knowledge of Catholic doctrine

    Has a clear understanding of the Catechism, the Bible, and Church teachings, and is open to ongoing learning.

  • Christian witness through daily life

    Leads by example, living out Gospel values like humility, charity, mercy, obedience, and faithfulness.

  • Active listening and empathy

    Listens attentively and without judgment, understanding the heart and situation of the person they accompany.

  • Spiritual discernment

    Helps others recognize God's voice in their lives and make decisions rooted in prayer and faith.

  • Commitment and responsibility

    Takes their role as a mentor seriously, honoring time commitments and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Humility and openness to the Holy Spirit

    Recognizes that they are an instrument of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the mentoring process.

  • Patience and ongoing support

    Understands that each spiritual journey is unique and accompanies others at their own pace without imposing.

  • Discretion and confidentiality

    Protects the privacy of those they accompany, creating a safe and trustworthy environment.

Our Program was born out of a desire to spiritually accompany those who are seeking to grow in their relationship with God, live their faith more deeply, or simply need a trusted guide on their journey.

We believe in the power of spiritual companionship rooted in prayer, personal witness, and Christian love. Each mentor is a committed Catholic, well-formed and ready to walk alongside others helping them discern, pray, heal, and grow.

Whether you're going through a difficult time, need spiritual direction, or just want to draw closer to God, this program is for you.

Do you feel called to guide others in faith?

We are looking for individuals with a strong prayer life, love for the Church, and a willingness to listen, guide, and walk alongside others on their spiritual journey.

As a mentor, you’ll be part of a network of faith-filled companions who are transforming lives. You don’t need to be a theologian or have all the answers—just a heart open to being used by God.

Basic requirements:

✔ 25 years or older
✔ Active participation in the Church
✔ Consistent sacramental life
✔ Willingness to commit time to formation and mentorship
✔ Respect for confidentiality and openness to the Holy Spirit
